Anyone going back to the office ?

I am curious as if anyone actually still working in the office. I did that for a few weeks and now the office slowly getting empty again.

I was told by my LL6 they are tracking will be terminating employees not meeting the quarterly minimum ROTs. Not sure if it's BS or not, but my guess it's probably real given the "leadership" mentality at the company.

RTO is not being enforced in my area for my department and many others. Many don’t work a full day during RTO days - if the manager is away, so is the team. Good news is we don’t have a problem managing our work and everything still gets done with nobody complaining.

Golf season is here, so of course I will not be in the office! No brainer!

Dear Supervisor: Sometimes I work offline from a supplier or a different Ford building. If you don't see me online, or in the building, just assume I am working hard. Thanks for your patience in this matter.

Hotel Dearborn: You can check in anytime you like, and you can always leave. No badging on the exit, unlike Chrysler and GM.

Performance and reviews are being tied to attendance. Don’t show up enough, and salary increase is affected supposedly.

Little do they know, even if some people receive a zero (0) annual increase, the employee still comes out ahead by running the numbers. So that stick isn’t going to work for some. Only by threat of dismissal.

Now for the good part. While everyone thinks we’re all high performers, I’m speaking in general, will the company actually pull the trigger and dismiss the high performers, or rockstars in the group? That’s what I want to know. Put their feet to the fire. Put up or shut up.

My buddy likes to be in the offense. He has my badge and badges me in occasionally. Going to keep up the subterfuge as long as I can. (I use a fake background on calls to make it look I'm in the office.)

I feel like it is still very crowded. And yes, unfortunately, badge swipes are being checked on my team.

Not me. I have work to do at home and my side business to take care of. Calling into meeting once per day is enough. If my boss needs me then he will text me. Most of the time he is not in the office anyway.

Open floor plan and rto seem to be working.

Tu-Wed-Thur at Rotunda Center is well occupied, Bldg 5, EVB, normal activity.
Too close to retirement to care if they count badge swipes.

Yes they are tracking badges

We were told this week LL5 will have badging metrics and it will go towards your performance review if you don't meet the minimum required

Once perf reviews were done, our office went back to very flexible hours. Summer will be back to “working from home today as I’m expecting a package”. Can’t believe we can still use that

Again, what is the point? Cost and the time to drive in only to sit on Teams calls all day at a cr-ppy roller desk in a noisy open space. Yeah, that is conducive to getting decent work done.
