Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Management

Does it seem like management has gotten worse. Attitude wise, requests etc.
Autonomy discouraged and you follow a sort of command control type situation.

And there is hellva lot of cya everywhere on all the teams.

Rumors of more and more offshore. I suppose they are desperate to save money after expensive union contracts, multi billion dollar losses on EVs and huge warranty/recall costs...
Does it feel like the beginning of 2008 here? I wasn't in this company in 2008 but I have a feeling that's where we are heading. Granted I am posting on the layoffsite lol.

Let’s just say it out loud: we spent decades building a high-trust work environment that valued transparency, autonomy, empowerment, respect and work life balance (debatable) and they turned around and handed our jobs to people from a low trust, command and control, autocratic, life-is-work culture. Why?

Ask yourself, why did they do this? Diversity? Lower costs? I don’t exactly know.

But, why would I be loyal to Ford? Every time they need to save a nickel they swap out more of my countrymen’s jobs and give them to people from half way around the world.

What I do know is that Ford isn’t a good company anymore. It certainly isn’t a US company anymore.

Management is getting worse. You look in IT, and you see who's been replaced at the higher levels (LL4, etc.)...it's like returning to the stone age with these people.

@a5+1jpnz7npr This time we have no Allan. We have a clown. I refuse to call any of the management team Leaders.
The Keystone Cops or three Stooges keep pushing TVM. Well how is that warranty doing with all these TVM ideas?? Makes me sick.
The entire BOD & Senior management needs to be purged. Otherwise inside of 8yrs Ford as you know it will not be around. You can not live off of the F-Series forever.

It is way worse than 2008. Unlike 2008, we have no plan, no leadership. Every day is full of chaos and indecision. The new leadership stars in Ford Blue, although lifers, seem to be less competent than their Model e counterparts, if that's possible.
