Thread regarding Crown Castle International Corp. layoffs

How will the sale of fiber affect the rest of us?

I imagine there will be some restructuring.

I hope what is left of the Clown Castle goes to total dog-bleep!

They destroyed fiber companies tossing away people who built those networks! The knuckle daggers of cell tower rental who only knew how to rent property deserve nothing but grief!

I could get a trained monkey to do pre fiber Clown Castle jobs, but it appears those trained monkeys were in Clown's senior management!

Moral of the story is Crown sc rewed everybody. At a time when AI is starting to blow up and demand for fiber is rising due to that demand you DO NOT sell that asset! Zayo will make a ki-ling thanks to Crowns mistakes. Keep grabing from that small basket of yours, only 3 eggs left!

“Concurrent with the acquisitions, Zayo and the Small Cells business will enter into a long-term commercial agreement whereby Zayo will provide fiber to the Small Cells business”. Looks like EQT and Zayo will work hand in hand. Moral of the story, CCI should have not bundled….

They will outsource a lot of roles to reduce costs and try to gain speed. A one trick pony is hard to sell.

You have a CEO who lowered the thermostat to save .40. At some point jobs will be replaced with AI or be deemed redundant and replaced.

I’m sure whatever changes will be announced before the holidays.

The ultimate goal will be for Crown to once again compete with its competitors (American Tower and SBA). They were always third when it came to stock price. I’d imagine there would be changes to the business to better position Crown for the future. The failed fiber business set is back significantly. How we catch up is still going to be determined.

There will definitely be a restructuring. I’d bet on them doing a review on the entire business and how it is operated. The sale of fiber will be an opportunity to make the entire company lean and efficient. If you’re banking on Crown becoming the company it was before the fiber acquisitions it is highly unlikely.
