Thread regarding IBM layoffs

IBM is laying off thousands of employees

"For example, IBM has significantly more open positions in India than in the US, supporting the assumption that a significant portion of the work is being outsourced." https://dev.ua/en/news/ibm-skorochuie-tysiachi-spivrobitnykiv-i-do-choho-tut-mozhe-buty-indiia-1742486242

@@m8+1jpvz5vr7 That is not racist towards Alvind and his main bootlicker Pipmunk Krabanaugh

IBMs stock is at $248 as of 3/24/25 Alvind got 87 million worth of stock. Karabanaugh got 37 million. Krabanaugh said the quiet part out loud when he said he wanted $300 a share. He does not care. He wants headcount reduced especially for the US. He is beholden to Wall St.

Alvind is AI Not artificial intelligence. All India is his dream.

This is just greed on steroids while GDP numbers are a joke. I know the C suite gets the perks but this is beyond anything that is reasonable. Lives are getting destroyed while Alvind and his Pipmunks feed like p1gs

“Sounds similar to what happen to me and ~109 people here in Canada. Our positions got RA’ed,…”
Are you referring to this round of RA happened last week, or earlier? I haven’t heard any action last week in the Toronto lab.

Corporations are paying record low taxes, and those taxes are about to be lowered even more. In spite of all of this help, corporations are choosing to send jobs to cheaper labor markets. Corporate top brass and major shareholders are the beneficiaries of all of this, not the American people. And these lucky beneficiaries are about to get a raft of more huge tax breaks themselves -- $4.6 Trillion worth. Indians come here and take jobs with corporations because they want a better life for themselves and their families, just like the rest of us. They are not to blame for any of this. Proposing that they should be te--orized out of coming here is utterly disgusting. Put your anger in the right place, at the people who are actually benefiting. And then instead of proposing terrorism, maybe go do something constructive about it. Punching down at people who are actually vulnerable, thanks to this kind of hateful rhetoric, says a lot about you and none of it is good.

This will not stop until the American people make it unsafe for Indians to come here and exploit the American people. They need to fear their lives. People need to do this to make things better again.

ya might be right but ya gotta admit - using racist language and stereotypes like Alvind and Krabanaugh does provide stress relief to many who read these comments. After all, the leading goons at IBM should be made the public laughingstock after making so many of us unemployed and lose our livelyhoods to Alvind's Third world incompetent garbage. Is it 9000 people laid off in the US alone in 2025 ? That's an unmitigated disaster.

So keep those epithets aimed to hit hard the CEO P1p of IBM and his P1pmunks.

Sounds similar to what happen to me and ~109 people here in Canada. Our positions got RA’ed, one coworker told me he was training people in India on his job. He later left knowing what was coming.

" However, we should avoid using racist language and stereotypes in any scenario. "

Wrong.
Let us be crystal clear.
Those people are living off of what americans/europeans have created not the other way around. If those people had created decent civilizations and companies and americans and europeans were moving there to work then we would have something equitable.
Right now this is parasitical. And the parasite is drowning the host.

The job market would be way better if it were not for the infinite number of smelly stinky Indians willing to work long hours for meager wages. H-1B visas need to be ended and they need to be sent back to their home countries.

I understand many people are frustrated right now with layoffs and the constant stress it brings. However, we should avoid using racist language and stereotypes in any scenario. That does not help solve any thing.

My last account me wintel sa and unix sa were ra'd and our positions went to India. Was no more US support only a few sdm's and dpe, pe left. I spoke to the wintel lead and when he told me his salary in India was equivalent to 12500 usd yearly. Even India knew why it was going over there they said "we're cheap" Some were worried about their jobs going to the Philippines cause they are cheaper then India

One of those expensive dinosaurs here, the little Indian has been trying to send my work responsibilities to his indian swamp for more than 10 years.
He made multiple attempts, with no success. All these Indian candidates get scared and give up.
