Thread regarding Ford layoffs

On April 20, 2025, we will celebrate the resurrection of Ford as a 100% Made-in-the-USA car company.

What me worry?...about tariffs after April 20. Not a chance.

@sr+1jpy5g4gp speaks truth!

Congrats to you college graduates that are training cheaper labor in other countries!

No it's sad you salaried folks think we can't see through your fake "we rooted for you" cr-p. For decades manufacturing left the country and I heard you folks talk about "you should have got a degree!" He-l, I've seen many here use the same sentiment around RTO. When hourly points out we can't WFH, salaried comes back with the "I went to college cr-p"!

Now you salaried are being forced into the office and your jobs are going out of the country, and you pretend you rooted for us last year in our contract negotiations! HA! And if you did it was only because since COVID, now your jobs were going to LCCs.

We aren't falling for it. And we don't care what happens to salaried. We want all manufacturing jobs brought back on-shore NOW! And if that means more salaried jobs to LCCs, then so be it.

It's sad that any of you think any of these people or entities have your best interest in heart.

ne+1jpy5g4gp you of full of sh*t. The top management are the ones who want to ship things outside. Don't stereotype all of us. btw Ford financially not doing so well. F-Series no longer #1 in American sales. The salaried can find something else but if the plant shuts down you will not find something paying those wages or benefits.
in 2023 I had no problem with you guys getting a raise but to trash all of us. Well I will not buy a Ford vehicle ever. will not support any of you any more. good luck watching your market share decline. because Billy DOES NOT HAVE A CLUE.

Hourly vs Salary. Funny how salaried doesn't want to play that game when it doesn't favor them. For years they've wanted to send more hourly jobs to other countries, or use robots, or design jobs out of the vehicles.

Now the worm has turned and you salaried suddenly are yelling "brotherhood!" and "solidarity!". What a joke.

That's why we in the UAW have no sympathy for you. We aren't sweating you losing your jobs while tariffs save ours, and increase our numbers!

Turnabout......

As long as your definition of "made" means "ASSEMBLED".

It's just BS!! 100% total lie.

Ford is increasing jobs outsourcing to Brazil, Mexico, India...

Billy and Jimmy are globalist and don't give a damn about the American workers but how to enrich themselves with cheap labor, H1B's...

A whole lot of us upper middle class salaried folk voted for 47 too, why’re you praying on the downfall of your own team my man? I’m with @ck+1jpy5g4gp on this, we should want the benefit of both to succeed.

"OP - you can celebrate cost increases resulting in layoffs, inflation and a stagnant economy."

Or you can watch your job get outsourced to some 3rd world country that is living off the math and science in the US to get some skillless executive immediate maximum profit.

This week salaried management is "reminding" policy to rto 3 days per week. I still won't do it as majority of my work is collaborating with those outside of the office. Others can do it to keep the numbers up.

Why can't salaried and hourly win.... I root for UAW to have great negotiations every time. Not sure why you want salaried people to lose?

UAW is a friend to 47, 47 is a friend to us. Quid Pro Go.

UAW rules! Salaried drools!

UAW jobs coming onshore, salaried jobs going to LCC.

47 is our savior, uplifting the lower middle class while destroying the upper middle class! This is why we UAW members voted in droves for the man!

Enjoy the show.

The unions should be up in arms about all this. After all, during the last strike, all they talked about was the bad conditions and poor pay, why would they want more jobs like that here? They should be fighting to offshore everything
