Quiet quitting at NM stories!

I used to be a motivated employee at NM. Worked extra hours, completed tasks outside my job description, complete extra training both in person and online. What did it gets me? Sometimes a 1.0% raise? Maybe 1.5%? What a joke! I'd spend hours putting together my goals and results with bi-monthly meetings with my manager to discuss my progress. If you were already above your salary midpoint they would slow your raise in salary. Complete garbage!

So I changed my work habits immediately. NM soon became a place that was just a paycheck. I'd come in right at my starting time and grab some coffee and chat with my coworkers for about 45minutes. I'd read emails and and set up lunches with my work friends. These lunches would be an hour to 1.5 hours with the delicious free lunch including some walks outside weather permitting. Then back to work with some more chat with coworkers at my cubicle. Maybe rest my eyes at my desk for about 30 minutes while making sure to tap my keyboard to look like i was active. Around mid afternoon take a slow walk to workshop for a coffee and more chat. During the day I would typically do about 1-2 hours of actual work.

In interested in other quiet quitting NM stories. Ill add more if this keeps going.

NM has many employees quiet quitting. I worked with many that did just enough to get by. One guy used to brew/steep his own coffee at his desk a few times a day a long with walking around campus talking with different friends. Another worker spent most of day surfing internet and he lacked any knowledge in this position. I had co workers working side hustle at work (avon, lbrie). I was amazed how much time wasted on non NM work. Remote workers are probably much worse. NM is so blind!

Majority of the Wipro and infosys contractors continue to milk the company! Highly inefficient, charge unnecessary overtime, and not accountable for results. If it weren’t for some hard working NM employees, we would be in the dumps!

AA (vp of ics) is very biased man actually, and keeps miscalculating who should the real leaders and who are the hard working people

It's no surprise Mia was promoted. Ahmed is another Neal. They were d-mb enough to sit next to each other at baseball games for everyone on national television to see. Ahmed needs to join the list of departures.

So you're being lazy to spite some corporation that won't even notice? Sounds like you lose in the end, brother. Everyone knows NM is kind of a sub-par place... so congrats... you joined the sub par army and you'll spend the rest of your days kinda working?

You know what I think? I think you were never really that hard of a worker or very good to begin with. People that work hard do it because that's who they are. They either decide to continue to work hard because it's mostly about their own personal standard or they leave because they're the type that has to be around other high performers. You sound like neither.

You could be like one privileged person and play with a stuffed animal, play finger puppets, rant on Slack about your personal life all day and get promoted to Principal Product Mgr. - Field & Home Office Experience. A new low was set at NM today.

I worked in downtown office prior to having automated Id scan. I'd set up a meeting on my calendar for 2 hours around lunch time. I'd park on street near NM then just go home to catch a nice nap. Back to work a few hours later and still crushed it at my job. Easy money.

I show up, grab my Starbucks hit the checkin gate, then leave. My boss told me as long as I check into the office 3-4 times a week doesn’t matter how long. Happy CEO happy life, we are back!!!!

I'm also an NM employee. I see a lot of wasted time at company expense. I had a manager at Franklin campus that would take 15 minute smoke breaks every hour throughout the day every day. He'd have to walk off campus by back road as your not allowed to smoke on site. This is typically of the Indian contractors who take group coffee and cigarette breaks in groups on 5 to 10 as well. How come nobody monitors this stuff? $$$$! Wasted
