Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Have the company and union started negotiations for the next contract?

Some posts here are mentioning specific requests, but have negotiations really begun already?

The C suite has no friends at the FCC or in the Administration. They played too many games with too many people and bet on the wrong team for too long. The Administration would side with the union before the execs trying to reduce the number of American workers, their take-home pay, and bennies. It is a good time to be a craftworker and I will be shocked if customer service is not brought back to the USA.

Get rid of unions? That guy is a jack a-s. Contractors su-k. Don’t do anything right and I have to go fix it after they got paid. Best way to send the company down the toilet.

I hope they get rid of the union with RTO and get rid of all techs and replace them with contractors!! RTO would be a good start to hurting the union for good.

On the last contract, they promised to hire so many technicians, that never happened. Richmond, VA is never going to hire new techs.

Can they finally up the per diem? It’s been the same $30 per day, for decades.
