Never has there been a board as negligent as this one. The fact Hsiao was ever allowed to work for Walgreens is hard enough to compute, let alone the damage they allowed Roz to cause with her complete lack of experience and leadership. The number of horror stories from participants in Board meetings is far too many, and the lack of accountability for missing sign after sign or failing to make basic and simple decisions the same. Jan B, Valerie J, and Stefano P, should all be barred from ever serving as a Board member for any company. Each being incompetent, self absorbed, self serving criminals. SEC, Class action law suit(s), where are you????????

Jan B and the others have been more worried about self promotion than being a Board member and acting in the best interest if this company. Story after story is told of her being "out of touch" during meetings and simply unqualified. She should be banned from every board she's in, and prohibited from ever serving in any capacity as a Board member going forward. Stefano, Valerie J, and several other should go as well.

No one should allow this Board to ever serve elsewhere. Shameful and criminal are the two most immediate terms that come to mind with all of them. Sad....and disgusting.
Why is everyone so confused about how a Board functions? Shareholders have to confirm the continuance of board members on a yearly basis. If they were clearly guilty of criminal offenses or SEC violations etc. then they would easily be voted off - and this could be done off-cycle if there was reason to call for it. They indeed are paid, and that is also publicly reported and voted on to reconfirm yearly (as well as the compensation for our C-Suite). I agree they haven't been the most competent board, but clearly the shareholder base doesn't agree with that strongly enough to oust them.
Jan B should never be allowed to be a Board member. Same applies to Stefano P, Valerie J, and the rest. This group of incompetent people watched the Titanic sink and did nothing! Fire them all and never let them harm another company.
With Walgreens family members no longer serving at any capacity, Stefi Boots slid his own cronies in there and in just a few years quickly destroyed the number 1 pharmacy retailer in the U.S.
Walgreens has been the victim of insider short selling, no doubt. But no board member will ever be brought to justice.
We can rant about our incompetent board all we want but absolutely nothing will happen. They’ll probably get some sort of compensation for their trouble and move on to the next company. Sort of like Roz.

They have never been accountable and never will be. They just smile and laugh and get paid. And for the kool aid drinkers that think they have done anything numbers and results don't lie under their so called leadership. They are the most consistent ones that have been at walgreens through all this titantic fall. It's on them. I know some pretty smart and intelligent business executives for what it is worth(not much worth actually) and they now say it's maybe the worst Board that the business world has seen in some time. Not me saying it, they are...five of them now have said it.
No. We should never allow these criminals to cause harm to another company. Incompetent and criminal. It must end here!
Our disastrous board is pretty much a moot point now that Walgreens is getting sold out to a private equity firm.
