Two managers just up and left in the past couple weeks. One took a job at a different team - laterally. The other just walked away.
it makes me nervous. What if they saw somthing coming. What if we are the only ones in the dark...

The director and above or senior and below argument works except so many people are related to one another. I'm fully aware of directors who have nieces, nephews, in laws, cousins, college room mates, etc working for them or in connection w them. If the mgrs. that moved are part of the nepo web they probably do know something.
When Director or above start to do this it's time to worry.
Senior manager and below are rarely told anything ahead of time. Maybe a day in advance if that
I think you will see a lot of repositioning like this ahead of the acquisitions. Not uncommon, and has been happening since all of the layoffs started.
