Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Tech support in Philippines would rather a customer disconnect their account than send a tech to fix issues.

This is what the FCC needs to look at. And ICE needs to take a look at our executive ranks because they are ranked with foreigners who could care less about domestic customers.

Previous poster was right. Overseas means no skin in the game.

They're never going to be at a party where their neighbors feel obligated to share all the cr-ppy experiences they've had with VZ once they learn you work for Verizon.

They're the same people who not only would tell customers no techs are available, they would then try to switch the customer to Comcast. They're the union busters the company always wanted and the union agreed to years back.

They really have no skin in the game to care!

They’re incentivized to not send techs. They would rather an American get hit for sending a tech than themselves.

Elderly neighbor called in to complain about one problem - not being able to make international calls. So a tech was dispatched by one of our colleagues in The Philippines with a new 5G router. Only problem is that there's only 1 bar (no nearby towers) there. And "holes will be drilled in your house." So neighbor said "no thanks" - - and her existing Fios service was cut off. Incredible customer experience. Incredible.
