Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Ford has been moving jobs to other countries since 2000.

They have just been doing at a much faster pace in the last 10 years and super fast in the last 5 years. They won’t bring most of those jobs back since most of them are white collar jobs. As for the manufacturing jobs, I don’t know. They are quietly firing people with their insane new performance rules. A lot of that cannot even be met due to slow applications and programs that the employees use. Especially in customer service. What a joke this company is.

They've been moving hourly jobs over seas since the 80s. But none of you salaried stiffs cared. Now that it's happening with salaried suddenly you care about America first? Haha!

Look at the number of vehicles at the salaried buildings that were produced in foreign countries! You all make me sick.

You won't see me in a Bronco Sport, Mach-e or a Maverick. You salaried dorks do not care about American production labor. So we do not care about you. All you salaried management do is sit on the vehicle trackingb site watching your management lease move from Mexico. Sickening.

Mexico engineering center: PD is training the LL6’s to go back to Mexico and set up shop. Billy Bob’s “we are family” BS is in Mexico now. And some in Brazil and Turkey and anywhere but in the US.

A few weeks ago there was an article (cant remember where I saw it) that said over 50% of Ford IT workers were now in India. I guess all the business people complaining about us being too slow, too d-mb and too expensive was taken seriously. In a couple of years you'll only have a few IT leaders stateside and all the technical people will be reached via video conference. The business got what it wanted.

Ford’s strategy isn’t agile—it’s reactionary. Constant stealth layoffs are proof of a lack of clear vision. The leadership has failed to create meaningful mentorship and stability for new talent, undermining Ford’s future. Ford family legacy is gone when leadership is not even in the country eventually. Where will loyalty lie?
