The think they are going to win against little old ladies that don't want to give up their landlines. Healthy skepticism is warranted. Those little old ladies all vote and many know their legislators.

so if they sell off their fiber footprint then what business wouldnthey be in? you do realize fiber is included in wireline maintenance?

The second the company can abandon copper legally look for a massive headcount reduction.

The company wants to make sure it isn’t slow walked so that another administration can reverse course.
