I feel it's totally upto the manager and call in your role, if you are in SWE space then you have better bargaining power and WFH is what most of the Engg teams are doing, but again its upto manager
@8sko+1jqLQ07k via layoffs? I hope so!!
After integration, CD1, is complete, you will all feel the Wtf policy.
I would guess they will continue to accommodate wfh till the integration is done. No desire to ruffle feathers and lose people now. Once integration is done, would not be surprised to see it drastically reduced.
I was in Corporate Risk and there is a feel that the Dept Head/MDs (NM and his good old boys) are stuck in the 1990’s. There have been cases where they/he/she called people’s desk phonea (yes, those things still exist) just to “check in” on them. So the WFH policy is dependent on which department you work in. If you are looking for a 1990’s mentality you will find it in Corporate Risk.
Worst place ever to work. Run away.
It’s 100% up to your manager so ask up front.
Walt is already backtracking on WFH. I don't think he'll mandate returning to the office, though. He's saving that task for Rick when he is appointed CEO.
Its highly unreliable and they change it almost every all hands meeting. Atleast that was the case for Raleigh. Higher ups makes announcement and managers scramble to cover that blunt announcement with more flexibility. In short, the flexibility comes with inflexibility.
It's for Workflow operations. I asked my recruiter amd she said it depends on the manager but I wanted to see how honest that was.
What is the offer? What is the department? You're thinking of accepting an offer yet haven't discussed the WFH policy with anyone during the process?
