New logo is horrible. And purple? Why???
Interrobang was clever. No one sees a ripple. How much time, money and effort wasted on rebranding?

The interrobang was consistently my favorite part of Pearson. It won quite a few marketing awards when it was introduced.
This sea of purple is mediocre. Many borders and other details are immersed in the Pearson blue which I foresee taking forever to to change, if at all. Another cobbled together system.
The new P icon looks like a bo-b. When you see it on the windows tab it really doesn’t look good. They should just stick with a P.
Has anyone completed the new brand training? I’m mourning the loss of old Pearson and the old logo. It sounds d-mb, I know! But visually, the other logo was so much more appealing. For the training to say we don’t have brand recognition blows my mind. I was at the airport wearing my Pearson north face and a young girl ringing up my coffee asked, “is that like the MyLab?” I said yes, that’s us and she said our product helped her understand math for the first time in her life. It made me really proud.
Now we’re stuck with an ugly purple with an uninspiring and almost cliche backstory. I hope we find our way back.
Yeah, sure. That's what it was. Unloading old branded stuff in lieu of an entirely rebranded pearson. Clown.
"Less than three months ago, they gave out Samsonite backpacks, Owala bottles . . . with the old branding to hundreds of employees. Really smart. Just genius timing"
Er - yeah. That was them unloading all of the now-obsolete bling because a new logo was coming. Do you really struggle with critical thinking this mightily?
It would be a great logo for a doctors office. A doctor who specializes in br---t implants or an optometrist. I don’t see any connection to learning. Waste of money and loss of brand recognition.
My LinkedIn profile will remain boringly nonpurple. Violins on the titanic.
Less than three months ago, they gave out Samsonite backpacks, Owala bottles, tee shirts, umbrellas, etc at the NSM with the old branding to hundreds of employees. Really smart. Just genius timing. Smfh.
I've been with Pearson since 2010 and the interrobang was my favorite logo. A question mark and an exclamation point encapsulated in a thumbprint to highlight our human-centric approach to learning. It's also an app friendly design for eTexts and any other future apps we planned on launching. I really loved the story of that logo. I'm sure no one who made the decision to change the logo was even here when that was launched or knew the story behind it. It's a shame to say goodbye to such a great era. Although the greatest era was the prentice hall years.
I am still in the pub rep mix. An enormous Into course adoption has been open this spring in a discipline that that company should be competing in. Pearson was completely missing from the equation. Zero rep presence, no books sent in for consideration...
By all means, continue pondering a logo. Pearson has become irrelevant.
It’s a distraction from the “localization” conversations, where they offshore half our UK and US teams. Coming soon, guarantee it.
Loved the interrobang! Always Learning! So much better.
I understand the need to evolve our brand to stay relevant as education and needs evolve but it could have been better than what they landed on. Excited to see how upskilling and partnerships with businesses transpire. That’s a brilliant idea. We’ll see what happens.
Always learning! Always changing! Always laying off.
Forgot it was suppose to be a ripple. Definitely doesn’t translate well. Looks like echo or moons.
