They cut through the bone, dismantling as much as they could, but they did the doers not mgmt, you would get a lot more bang for the money if you did several VP’s and so many directors. If you really want to sell then do mgmt.

Here is why Systems will be sold, not much money coming in, if it wasn't for another big company saving their as--s, it would have been gone a while back! This company only real horse is HDDs, and it is alive just to get dividends out of it. If you are still debating to leave to to stay, just leave!
I have been saying that for years. I left 4 years ago and it is obvious Seagate has same MO. Buy, ki-l as needed. Execs get the goodies.

One of the sign which shows incompetency of the executives is they hesitate in tough situation and can't make decision, which supposed to be their job. If they don't want VLSI or System in the first place, might as well just execute early, cut hard while keep and maintain talents and let other people go many years back. Seagate needs a big change, start from those expensive executives.
It will surely happen. Let the company layoff all non-mgmt people in system group
