Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Brain drain

In recent years the place has turned from an okay place to work to “it’s just another line on the resume.”
Broke/ cheap managers cannot keep talent that developed under their leadership. Is that leadership?

Are there any good managers there? I had a manager i really liked. She was very smart and got stuff done. But that was about 5 years ago.

The quality of management is rock bottom now, no longer have any backbone and will throw anyone under the bus to preserve their status.

If you are not happy, leave. Figure a way to overcome. It is your responsibility to hold Honeywell to a higher bar - and if you are not seeing it, well, you are not holding yourself to a high standard.

Best way to increase salary and benefits is to move around, get the experience and look for something better.

Still lots of great engineering companies around that you can't get into unless you meet the necessary competence level. Honeywell just ain't one of them any more.
