Recent performance is typically a predictor of future performance, so have a look at what happened to Cruise @ GM ; or for that same matter regarding some of the other senior executive external hires, have a look Lilium and Enviva.
There was a time when you’d be laughed out of the building for suggesting this scenario but now it seems completely plausible.
