Thread regarding Mutual of America Life layoffs

Updating the board

A few active and former employees have formed an unofficial group to contact the board and provide them with an update of what they are missing. If you would like to share your story or if you have a message for the board please email us at Moaemployees@gmail.com

Did your group ever reach out to the board and did you get any response from that?

Note to those laid off: don't forget you signed a non-diasparage, non-disclosure agreement when you accepted severance pay. Don't give those savages any ammunition to sure you and ddemand their severance back.

Retirees got sc--wed roally. Completely abolished the pittance of life insurance somewhat assured and more than tripled health insurance fee. C'mon MOA, we retirees deserve much better. Shame Shame Shame

"Please share here any communications you send to them."

Don't do this. This post is a trap planted by HR. Don't post on here what is shared with the Board. You will provide HR and the Executives the ammo in advance and they will run to the Board to tip them off.

Rich promised transparency. Him and Moriarity and the CFO are falling into the Greed Trap. Hide information because they don't have a need to know. That is a big mistake Rich and his administration can't afford to make. It will come back to bit him in the you know what. All we want is an truthful update on everything.

Employees need actual transparency. The direction is still business as usual when it’s obvious to most of us the company can’t survive on its current trajectory.

Keep it simple for the Board. Their average age is 75 and most are cognitively impaired. For starters, let the Board Members know about this website and give them the Glassdoor and BBB websites to review. For starters, that would be a big help.

We need to lobby them for employee and retiree board representation. We need a seat at the table. Also, have them release the board minutes. As a policyholder who pays fees to MOA, I help pay their $300k stipends. It's taxation without representation. Throw us a bone.
