Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Start pushing back!!!

Obviously theyre doing this to us on purpose to overwhelm and stress us out as much as possible, so just start pushing back.

Another stupid task that serves no purpose? Push back and ask questions. Another task you end up being asked to do because of a lazy coworker? Push back and ask why and involve that teammember and passive aggressively have them do the task instead.

Ive started doing this push back the last 2 weeks and it feels great! If theyre gonna can you theyre gonna do it regardless, so at least have some dignity and self respect and start pushing back!

I’ve been taking large p00ps in the floor for the last several weeks. Find your favorite office and release the hounds.

The entire point of this is to get you to quit

I like doing less with more.

"I suggest we should be using a different slogan: Do less with less."

This is the actual slogan though per JC. He literally told people to do less with less, meaning to focus on only the things with the most value.

That is quiet quitting and management picks up on it faster than you think!

Where was all this pushing back in 2015? No different now than it was then.

we have been pushing back. It's outwardly labeled as "quiet quitting" but more realistically is "getting what they pay for". Resist! We continue to Resist. Even when they chip away at us by withholding a raise or removing our bonus, we continue. If you're going above and beyond in this environment then you are contributing to the problem.

If you want to kick the hornets nest, then bombard HR with suggestions and hostile work environment complaints,

absolutely! Stop going above and beyond until you start receiving additional compensation for it. They think that spouting "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" in their broadcasts means anything. I give the company my time and skills in return for payment. If they want more because they are short staffed or hire fools then they pay me more. Simple. Flogging yourself just hides the problem. Dell is in the period of finding out just how much meat the can trim off the bone before something breaks. Let it break before you do, only then will something be done.
