Rumour has it , some ppl will be let go today. My guess is conventional and IT …. Let’s see our pretty boy RC and BK and some others will be gone today or not. It’s time to let the clowns go…. Come on CVE. Keep the good ppl but let them clown go.

This whole place is an extreme sad joke, like none other! Issues always start from the top.
HR is a joke. They have senior managers and directors with no one even reporting to them. The only place to get a promotion to a senior level is in HR. They’re the worst offenders and a massively bloated bureaucracy. Especially since you can’t even talk to anyone and everything is done by self serve on line. They may as well out source our entire HR dept to India. Now that would be some solid savings!!
What about HR? Why do we have such a massive HR department compared to our peers? Tourmaline is considered a top tier company which is a top performer, attracts top talent and they have zero HR.

Agreed. With proper management, this whole thing could have been avoided or being less painful. When they hire disqualified managers who only want to party and flirt around and use company's money on things like lunches and dinners with third parties/clients,.... this happens. They have zero interest in their ppl, their work, their responsibilities and their obligations to their team and the company..I believe the examples are listed in the question perhaps (personally dont know those initials) .... There are so many amazing managers there who should be promoted also.
I wonder if the CVE execs are as careless with their own money as they are with managing people and money at the company they run.
This could have been prevented with qualified management.
Conventional, IT, Downstream are all areas of focus but I think any central functions could stand to be adjusted. H&S, supply chain, commercial.
