Wow, HR went from 8 Directors to 7. Such difficult streamlining decisions…lol! What a joke! The size and number of our HR Department is a massive problem when we are trying to bring G&A down. How does the leadership at this company not just move in and remove at least 1/2 if HR. They’ve had so many HR VP’s I’ve lost track, but all they ever do is add more HR people. Time for deep cuts and right sizing in HR!

We should probably hire some more HR experts to make this happen.
I imagine the CLT were on their retreat and looked around the room at the almost 200 directors, VPs, and above and finally realized we are grossly top heavy. Plus those are some very big compensation packages to be able to get rid of. I’m guessing they will keep trimming the top levels for April and then come for the rest of us in May. Don’t kid yourselves thinking we aren’t all next.
Directors and managers roaster is being pruned as we read this. It's not an April Fools joke. It's sad but many deserved it. It's not going to stop any time soon.

I have been with cenovus for almost a decade, rest assured they will never give you package when they know they can make your life miserable and just make you quit.
Back in January Bill Kidd told one employee he would never give a package to anyone who asked for it.
Alex said people could put up their hand and then backed off when HR started getting requests. This is real, a guy in my group tried to get a package. John isn’t going to pay out when he can make life even more miserable so you leave voluntarily.
