Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Real motivating

Just hit 20 years at T and wow – the only "reward" is more work. I heard a coworker was walking out but suddenly stayed. He gave no details, just offered some vague "better offer" talk. Meanwhile, the rest of us grind with zero recognition. Classic move – dangle carrots only when someone’s halfway out the door.

"better offer" likely meaning he checked his pension and realized that staying another 5 makes quite a big difference.

The POS Stink is pleased! Another one leaves without the Stink having to pay severance!

Stink is a pro at making employees, customers and shareholders suffer!

Better offer likely didn’t happen. Your coworker probably didn’t have anything else and they called his bluff.
