Anyone know the ballpark pay threshold for a Band 5?
Heard there were levels to it. Low, mid and high side of the pay scale.

@1rt+1jr1e1jpd if they didn't tell you, they don't want you to know.
Sorry but it's the truth. You're not in the club.
Anyone know how to find out what my salary cap range is? It seems they make it hard to get any answers.
I was making 214K as a band 5 working out of Albany. I have very specialized knowledge not found elsewhere, and they paid dearly for it!
The grass is greener here btw.
In software, B5 has a large range. One reason may be that some B5 people really match the B4 job description -- working independently, giving advice to colleagues, coordinating, etc.
When I worked at BofA I was 150k as band 5. They offered me $230k to stay. Alas I did not.
B5, joined global markets in 2016,190k 20+ years exp. I was looking for 220k but talent manager said max for b5 is 190k back then.
In 2017 when I was hired the cap for B5 software developer was 180k. I'm sure it's higher now.
B5 $123k. 25 yrs. Zero increase this year. ☹️
Your pay is probably one reason you are such a "wonderful" asset :)
30 years
B5
81k
3k bonus
very sad to be on the low end despite being told I'm a wonderful asset to the team

:-D
Band salary used to range between 80k and 190k with few exceptions to some LOB. I heard that the upper limit is increased to 220k now. Your job code defines your salary not the band
Anyone know the job codes with lucrative pay?
Tech and sales definitely make the highest. If you're in those roles, bands don't matter. You can literally be in a band 5 tech role making more than a person in a band 4 ops role.
I was a band 5 making 138K
I’m VP band 5 in GT architecture at 149k with E/E. I’m assuming I’m close to the max but told I’m in process of band 4 promotion this year.
Salary depends on the job code more than band level. I'm a B5 making more than B4s in my prior organization (mid 120k range + bonus). I'm sitting at the middle of the pay range for my job code - have many more years before I cap out in the low 150's.
You can look at the threshold for job listings in the career site; look for roles that post in pay transparency states like NJ, NY etc. The pay range is the pay range.. I'm a band 5 ops consultant making 84k, but the cap for my role is 103k. There are some band 5 roles that pay more/less with different caps. Honestly the band system is somewhat outdated and for the most part not relevant. I've seen band 6's with bigger bonuses than me, Ive worked alongside band 4s making the same as me. It's all about how you end up negotiating when you take that next step.
Band 5, Global Ops, 82,000 a year and my bonus is roughly 2k a year.
