I came back to Verizon after a while and noped out in eight weeks. The place is a ghost town of miserable faces and bad energy. Day one back and they were already talking layoffs. No wonder everyone looks like they’ve given up. Not sticking around for that mess.

Verizon is a workplace for 3rd world thinking, 3rd world workers controlling a 1st world company. That is the truth of it. The goal is to break down as many national walls and boundaries as possible so that your only allegiance is to the company. It would appear that the pendulum of change that brought us here is about to swing the other way with a vengeance. A lot of damage was done to the company in terms of public reputation, deferred network maintenance, products, and customer service.
Why is Verizon pouching and hiring so many Boost Mobile employees?

Verizon is a wonderful company to work for especially if you're young and just getting started. You'll have a secure job for 30-40 years where you can start a family, purchase a house, have retirement security, and have plenty opportunities to move up the corporate ladder.
I already have a face so I’m not worried about the union being phased out. Also they are all about helping themselves anyway. Guess I need to become an officer to get representation.
Wait to the union phases out this year. Everyone will be walking around with faces.

The misery is real lol I took the leap and left. Best decision, truly forgot what work happiness was. Way too many options out there.
