Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Top 10 Company

Seriously, AT&T was recognized by LinkedIn #7 as a top 10 company for career growth??? What a load of cr*p. All the layoffs and surplus impacted employees across the nation and top talent?? Come on they had to pay them a hefty fee to get on that recognition list.

This is because as a current employee, you can't trash the company where your name is associated with the company, like LinkedIn.

And if you have been let go, you can't trash the company because then no one will hire you.

The result is that LinkedIn only has the reviews from Stankey boot lickers, and no "real" information.

LinkedIn no longer has any credibility. It is 99% bots posting ghost jobs and giving each other thumbs ups.

Saw that as well and thought well sh** if there’s any truth to this and AT&T earned high marks in ANY category that should be measured I guess it’s my time to just leave the professional world behind altogether because that means there’s no safe haven anywhere. Benefits are decent but let’s be real they are hard earned! Constant layoffs (as a consequence of poor decision making by corporate leaders), reorg after reorg after reorg, inept middle management, fire drill after fire drill after fired drill, major issues with RTO execution, over the top tracking. If this is the gold standard we’re all f—-ed!!!

Maybe they are referring to retail stores and field techs. Definitely not office workers or IT. The opposite is true there. Worst I’ve ever seen.

Considering lateral opportunities have been practically non-existent for the over 2 years and promotions are basically impossible now, I found that ‘award’ pretty entertaining.
