New strategy of shutting down products?

Thankfully, I work for a very mouthy SVP who can’t keep secrets. He said he got a document from one of John Durant’s direct that came from Stephanie that says the new strategy is to reduce the number of product lines Some of it talks about merging sub products back into their main product, but others talks about just getting the number down altogether I’m sure this is tied to layoffs as well Just wondering if anybody else had heard this because I didn’t get to see the document directly

This is not a new strategy. This is called Rationalization and has been the attempted strategy for 8+ years.

If FIS was in retail to consumers the investors would scream we have way too many SKU's. Neve is the CRO. He has never looked at the product lines and said these products just aren't worth the trouble. Sunset them or sell them off like world pay. Problem is no one in the company has a catalog understanding of FIS products. We are a bloated beast.
