That's the problem with these big corporations. They spent $150M in buyback but don't give employees bonus. Just pathetic

This thread is what every single person thinking about joining Oracle should read before making a decision
Stock buyback is the default move with any kind of tax breaks by the feds. Nothing “trickles down” if that’s what you’re hoping for, that concept does not exist at Oracle, more so there than most companies.
Oracle doesn’t give raises. Best you can do is negotiate with upper level VP as bd ask or demand RSU, restricted stock units.
You might get lucky and be rewarded.

I made a reply because I think it’s important for us to actually be honest on here. A blanket statement of no bonuses while Oracle does buybacks is false and it erodes the integrity of what gets shared on this site.
Let’s keep things accurate on here so people can actually trust what gets posted.
You say we need to chill out? I guess my question to you is why do you feel the need to come back and make another statement, about being downvoted ? Great that you got a bonus. Just know your audience, it is a tough time at the O. Spend that “bonus” wisely.
Interesting, I got downvote bombed for stating a fact that we got bonuses. Our group got a 95% payout. Sure it differs by team, but it’s not like they just canceled bonuses across the board.
