T certainly isn't short on sponsorships...

According to the airline, the complimentary internet access will be sponsored by AT&T and will be available to most passengers, including those traveling on regional jets.

“ T will throw money at anything...except its employees.”

Very true…and their favorite “target” is C suite (deep) pockets.

The AA deal actually looks smart. TMob provides free wifi on other airlines. To use it, you typically have to watch an ad or two each time you log on.

It's worth mentioning that AA does most of entertainment on customer devices, there aren't seat back screens on most jets. That means every passenger gets to see our ads and offers before they can access anything.

I do think we waste too much money on some of the sports sponsorship.

They need to keep in front of as many eyes as possible to survive.

I did find it pretty amusing that T had to scrap a lot of its March Madness ads that mentioned busted brackets. Poured all that money into the references (surely based on the last couple years of shockers), and there really weren't any of the upsets that were common in the early rounds.
