Thread regarding Staples Inc. layoffs

staples remote workers with a second job

With many remote workers now holding multiple jobs, how common is this for on and offshore WFH at Staples? The average WFH is within an hour. Could this be due to other job commitments? Are they working for our competitors? HR must publish 2024 background checks for every single remote person.

Laughable post. Definitely not someone who works in IT. I consider going into the office a non-working day. Too many chitchatting going on in the office, not enough time to get any work done. I am far more productive when I WFH.

Ask how many managers are golfing during the workday and using their cell phones to stay connected. Must be nice to be a manager and not have to be tied to your computer and monitored every hour.

I WFH at Staples and barely have time to use the bathroom but that is my work ethic but I know that most of my coworkers do the same and in no way could they have a 2nd job. Also there is no way I could get a days worth of work done in 3 hrs.

The number of people that work multiple jobs at Staples is significant. Average worker not doing a 9-5 in office maybe works three hours a day and gets paid full time. I absolutely guarantee it. The number of people working remote or hybrid having another job and taking advantage of the company is also a larger number than you can possibly imagine. Then add the number is associates on some level of leave status and working for another company. Add that to the list. Company to stupid to address it been going on for many years.

I’m not sure what you’re trying to imply but WFH employees get a lot done with less distraction than people going into the office. Whenever I go to office I’m less productive, all depends on what your role is I guess

I agree, the response in Teams from WFH people is usually after 55m.
