Anyone have the gossip on why the sudden company wide emergency to get rid of Ford fusions? Thay put everyone in rentals in like 2 days. Must have been something big.

Heard somebody died because of the hybrid battery releasing gases into the cabin
The sad part is, the company is ONLY doing this to avoid a lawsuit because of “whistleblower” employees.
If nothing would have been made public the company would have continued to let the employees drive the vehicles.
Lead acid batteries can leak hydrogen gas. The hybrid batteries are leaking the gas into the cabin and not outside the car.
Instead of looking at why they are leaking we are selling them. They probably have a damaged or missing battery vent tube.
My personal car has the battery under the drivers seat. It has a vent tube you have to connect to the battwry to vent the gas outside.

Maybe the flux capacitor didnt have the correct voltage range and/or wasn't automotive rated? Can't have cold fusion occurring with that happening.
Replaced with a fleet of Model 3 Teslas.
