I’ve gotten multiple (10+) emails from chapter leadership in the past couple months introducing new additions to the team, and now you’re telling me there’s layoffs? Granted, some of them are offshore, but there’s some onshore. They are mostly experienced developers though.

I'm sorry your hope must be dashed. I for one am real Fidelity employee who recently escaped from an all Indian team.
So it's not that this forum devolved into 90% Indian bashing, it's that Fidelity tech teams devolved into 90% Indians. I have no where but here to vent my frustration about the extremity of the lack of diversity.
