Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

How are you doing with the job search?

I’ve stepped up my efforts ahead of May, but honestly, I’m more terrified than ever about losing my job. These days, even landing an interview feels like mission impossible.

Only dozens of applications since January? If you haven't submitted at least 100 per month, and there are services that will do this for you by the way, then it sounds like you're looking for an excuse to end up in "forced" early retirement.

I wish you well. How old? For the trolls out there, early retirement can cost a $ million+ in lost income and reduced SS every month for forever. It's not a trivial early start on the party. It could happen to you any time after age 45.

I've been searching since January; dozens of applications but not a single interview. Giving myself until the end of the year for secure a new role. If I fail, it's early, forced retirement for me.

I just found another job two weeks ago. I was working at another company and a former manager contacted me and offered a lot more money. The best way to get work is through networking and word of mouth. I worked hard to build up my skills after leaving HPE and the hard work is finally paying off.

I was never able to find good technical employment.
With no training for years my skills are stale. I, like most was pidgin holed with no opportunity to move around or update my skills.

We need tariffs on all outsourced jobs and each H1-B. $400,000/year minimum.
