Any news on the layoffs?

Does anyone know if there were any layoffs? I still can't believe they didn't give you guys the VBO. I took the first one, but know people that were waiting for this one, what a disappointment.
It could just be a fear strategy? HR is going gang busters on inexperienced and unqualified managers. They then take it out on their teams.
Guess some of us are entitled for few more weeks of paycheck.
Since the "dip in market" was supposed to be the driving force, which somehow got leaked.
Now they are looking for another reason, waiting for the right time to announce, taking employees by surprise is the Fido way.

This fits the fafo culture of the company
From what we were supposed to hear today, it ended with "we will have more clarity in the coming weeks".
Meaning, yes their secret got out so now they have to find another way to ensure associates react in more shocking manner.
Since their secret got leaked for today and it won’t come as a completely depressing shock to people, they probably postponed it so they can get as much negative emotional bang for their buck. Seems to be the only goal of upper mngt these days.
