Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Town Hall Meeting on 5/2

This meeting is to go over the earnings internally, yet XRX hasn't scheduled the external call yet. Is this normal? Scheduling the internal call ahead of scheduling the earnings call. I have never heard of a company doing that before.

Probably not enough decent accountants left to close the books within a month. I only know 2... and one is not a CFO.

Ask again on 5/1 after the market closes.

The Trolls still predict a shambles of Q1 and maybe, just maybe CH11 - let’s see

Scheduled internally perhaps, not with NASDAQ, or the outside world. This only exists on XRX Outlook calendars.

XRX is a failing company, and it looks really bad to Wall Street when you can't alert and schedule your earning calls like a normal company. Normal companies set the date in a press release 1-3 weeks before hand, per SEC requirements and in the best interests of the shareholders.

It's going to be not great news, whenever it actually happens, but shirking the SEC notice rules and doing the bare minimum (or less) will not bode well for the stock price. It's a huge red flag that every person who works at XRX knows when earnings will be, but NASDAQ doesn't.

The Q1 earnings report, initially scheduled for Thursday, April 24th, was rescheduled to Thursday, May 1st a couple of weeks ago. Typically, the company issues a press release about a week in advance of the earnings call. It’s expected that a press release will be released tomorrow confirming the May 1st earnings date. In line with recent years, a town hall meeting is also anticipated the day following the earnings announcement.

Instead of pure speculation and fueling the same three trolls on this board, just wait for the actual announcement and go find work to do in the meantime. Maybe Xerox does need to do more trimming if you little girls have enough time on your hands for watercooler talk on the daily.

Not gossip, reality. Even with all the bad earnings over the years (going back to the pandemic) XRX never reported late - until now. Why? How bad is this that they are willing to drag it out and raise suspicion?

This call will be different. I don;t think it's the numbers, I think it's the Materially Adverse Change warnings and DD they are trying to grapple with.

Nothing but little gossip girls on this site now. Why don’t you start sharing cookie recipes next to keep yourselves busy?

Nope. Not with NASDAQ, or on the investors page. May 1st is not a date known to the street, or general public. It's also ~10 days later in the quarter than the last call, if true.

The earnings call is scheduled for Thursday May 1st. It has been for awhile.

"OH MY GOD THIS IS NOT NORMAL"

Are you saying this in general, or specifically to XRX dragging out the earnings vs past earnings?

It is totally not normal, in general.

No formal release date has been posted. The 29th is conjecture.

I don’t think this is normal. But could be wrong. I believe I read on another post that the formal release of earnings is on the 29th? If so - why isn’t that posted online? Isn’t it a SEC requirement to notify shareholders in advance? I get it’s still 6 days out - but that seems very odd.
