I don’t understand why some people come to a site called the layoff and get angry that we’re not all kool aid drinkers. What sentiment did you expect to find on a site meant to gather people who were or about to be fired?

I’m here because any time I feel frustrated in my professional life I read these posts and comments and become motivated immediately. It shows be my fate of becoming weak and whiney if I don’t su-k it up, persevere, and own my own life and future.
The weak on here give me strength and motivation so I do not end up like many of them.

I come here because every once in a while, someone will post some true, good information on here, that we all need to hear. I think it keeps us balanced instead of getting ahead of our skis.
But I’ve also been coming here since 2016. The repeat topics are “GT su-ks” “My manager su-ks” “random threats to leaders about them being whistle blown on” “MM su-ks or HR su-ks, now TH Su-ks”
I'm here to get a good laugh on the delusional losers who eat popcorn and commenting on the post in bed thinking they are better than anyone else because they some how ended up higher rank in a corporate job. Nike is NOT better because exactly people like this in higher ranks, worse so called "leadership roles". You thinking every sport is a competition and step on others to justify your "winning". Most sports requires a team.
I’m here with popcorn for the people who cry about all the problems but are waiting for someone to hand them a participation trophy instead of being part of the solution. Bunch of quiet quitters here that it is pretty clear why they are stuck in low or middle roles.
It is entertaining to me to see those who do the bare minimum or less complaining why they don’t get better roles or more money. If everyone went back to being competitive in all we do we would be back and better than ever.
