Thread regarding Western Digital Corp. layoffs

When do you usually hear back on your counter offers ?

Hi All, it is been a week that I didn't hear back. I emailed the recruiter once, but didn't receive a response. Is this normal with WD?

@d9+1jsq9h36r makes a good point. idk being disrespected like that doesn't sit with me well. Maybe I should su-k it up? :) But then again, isn't this big red flag that they just don't care about whom they are hiring

SanDisk is different than HDD biz. Now reason to doubt @d9+1jsq9h36 13% increase expect it lacks context, but that number inconsistent with a typical annual increase

I wouldn't discourage joining WD, it was OK while I was there...brought in from Sandisk.

Here is the thing, although this is the most important thing to YOU....they probably have a hundred people they are talking to. And counter-offer? How much we talking...1K, 10K? is it worth maybe not getting the job for a hundred dollars a month after taxes? And also the fact that now they have to think about you...budgets, etc and have people sign off. Better off taking the job unless it was really low ball, then work hard for better raises. I got a 13% increase one year while I was there.
