Time to replace internal project engineering with outside engineering contractors.

Engineering was the absolute worst when i joined in 2018. They themselves did not know how to program their DOW MOD5 system and then I was put on PIP by an incompetent supervisor (now director). I left after a year with the embarrassment and that incompetent supervisor blocking me from at-least moving to a different field/team to grow my career.
I moved to IT after this horrific experience at LAO, Plaquemine and now make similar to directors here. Best decision of my life.
They lett go all their top talent and experience so external engineering will be more cost effective.
