These are 100% the guys orchestrating new phones being stolen off front porches. They have motive means and opportunity.

One of these clowns showed up when we ordered a new phone for my wife. I didn't initially think anything negative about his assistance and remained in another room in our house. I noticed a change in the tone of my wife's voice after about 45 minutes. I clearly heard her ask the "expert" to activate the phone and leave our house. I grabbed my blue badge and walked into the living room. Dude didn't know I had been in the house the entire time, and he looked like he crapped himself when he saw my employee badge. I asked how many minutes it takes to activate a new phone and he answered that it took less than 5 minutes. I took the new phone and told him to GTFO of my house. We took the phone to a local store and had it activated in about 5 minutes. This was our last purchase from AT&T. Even with the option of the AT&T employee discount I choose to use another vendor for cell service.

IHX will be backfilling wire techs after the next surplus. You’ve been trained.

Best Buy is barely staying in business and we think we should be Circuit City. High pressure sales is an abhorrent business practice and has been proven ineffective time and time again in the open market. This is one of many failures of leadership at AT&T. Our competitors do far less of this and are crushing us on every front.

“Believe it not, people still like the assist setting up their internet and cell phones without going through a menu of choices then waiting forever on the phone for sales or support.”

This is true for grannies and grandads and the occasional illegal immigrant. But instead of assisting them with setup, we upsell and take advantage of them with services they don’t want or need. One guy even sat down to paint the old ladies toe nails in exchange for buying our warranty to cover all the electronics in her house. She had an old tv, a coffee maker, and a vaporizer. No sony playstations, xboxes, fancy LCD’s etc.

Sounds like a whole program we don't need. Everything we sell should be orderable via mobile app or website. You know, like every other modern service provider. The only clowns sending sales people to homes are selling overprices HVAC equipment or solar panels. Our whole company is stuck in the 1980s.

Please stop calling them IHX. They’re not experts, and they rarely get inside the home,
From this day forward their new name is PDI. Porch Dwelling Imbeciles.
or DSB: Door Scratching Beggars.
or NKB; Nuisance Knocking Bag avon’s.
or GSC; Grandma Scheming Charlatans

Now be off with you
