I heard layoffs will happen on an ongoing basis each month throughout the year instead of all layoffs in a specific month as was done in the past. They want to do this quietly. So we may not know exactly who is being let go or how many each month. Good luck

This has been that they've done for almost two years now. This next round will be one big one.
Nah, if they are getting rid of a big number overall, then it will be well announced. The stock market likes big cuts. It’s more common to announce big numbers but in reality the company doesn’t cut as much. The way Ford manages headcount, they could chop 1000 people today and no one would lose their job, departments all over and holding vacant headcount, which is why other groups hire so many contractors.
I have a feeling that the contractors are about to be thinned out.
