I have never taken a sick day in 25 years. I actually took vac hours for Drs appts. My Mgr said we are now to put Dr visit down as sick time so I am from now on.
Sick time. Go home. Their rules.
Our boss told us to take a sick day, even though we are perfectly capable of working the remainder of the day at home. Oh well.....thanks for the day off!
Talk to your manager and have him/her submit a ticket on your behalf for a genuine need as yours!. They closed the ability for employees to submit tickets themselves. They need to address space issues!.
Poor planning on YOUR part.
You chose that appointment time.
Work until 7 pm to make up the hours. Later more desks available. Simple.
How would you know there were “no desks” if you couldn’t park to enter the building?
Parking to desks isn’t 1-1.
Shame on you for going to the doctor!
You take a full ILLF day. That’s their guidance so why fight it?
Give them what they asked for.
They will give a one day suspension to see your doctor. Don’t see a doctor.
they don't care
“ That would be insane. Good thing it isn’t true.”
This IS the case for MANY locations, it may not be for YOUR location! We know, you arrived late to the RTO party!
You do you.
It is INSANE!
Possibly move your doctor appointment to the afternoon and leave early.
“It's insane that there is not enough parking and desks for amount of people assigned to a building/campus.”
That would be insane. Good thing it isn’t true.
Can we do sick time in 30 minute increments and stay home rest of day? asking for myself.
It's insane that there is not enough parking and desks for amount of people assigned to a building/campus. It's happening everywhere in the major hubs. HATE THIS PLACE
Per policy sick time is to be used for dr appointments. Congratulations you can take the entire day off.
PTO is your fiiend.
