WF: we don’t give raises to lateral hires

Also WF: actually we do, and when you find out you weren’t treated the same as your coworker we’ll just shrug

WF: We believe in equity and closing the pay gap.

Also WF: You want to know the salary range for your role and what we are willing to pay for your skills? Buzz off.

I agree that the salary ranges for a specific job in a specific area Differential is a joke.
You have a min, the median and the max, when we were able to see the job families and positions online. Now they are hidden. Hoping these new laws change that.
Question: What happens when you hit the max?

up until the move to workday wf had this information available. they have it available in workday now they just need to make it visible. the California law is interesting and what I want to know is of it affects all of WF given they are a California based company, regardless of whether the position can be done or is posted. Also, for current employees the law just indicates they have to provide it if asked, not necessary post it for all to see.

It will be as followed. 50 to 150k. Joke. We want to know what the pay will be not a range. Tired of wasting my time on games.

Here’s the articles conclusion:

“From a CFO’s perspective, this will be complicated.”

Fantastic. Whenever CFOs jobs get more complex it ALWAYS works out great for us workers.

Congress needs to buzz off and stop interfering in business.

Useless. We have seen how Wells Fargo cheats and steals. This will just be more of the same.
