"HR is here to listen and help you." Reality HR is only here to protect exxon not the employees.

“I want you to own it”… meaning I have no clue how to do the work. You do it. If it fails then I took no part in it. If it succeed, I’ll take the credit.
“Feedback is a gift”. Meaning this is my first assignment as a supervisor and I need to justify my existence by doling out pearls of wisdom to the experienced professionals. I’m going to hurt you if you don’t make me look good.

EM Chemical company had the worst culture and now with the leadership shifts, I think it's safe to say that the "Chemical roaches" have infected all business lines including the upstream! The result is the opposite of the type of culture we were trying to build!
At least you get something. Our guy is living the high life for right now.
