This is so stupid. Just making people miserable for no reason. This does not lead to positive results or increased productivity.

Middle and rear seats combine to make an excellent bed. Park facing away from the sun and get a daily 90 min nap.
WFH? More like SAH - sleep-in at home.
“
OP, quit whining you spoiled little snow flake! When you're employed by someone else, THEYget to dictate the terms of your employment, not you! If those terms don't meet your requirements ir needs, you can leave if you'd like! There are plenty of WFH positions with other employers. Life is about choices! Don't torture yourself, just leave and you won't regret it!”
Compliant little sheep like you are Stankey’s wet dream.
The cell phone network will work just fine without all of us and they know this. Do what your told or expect to be laid off. If your union and have seniority then disregard all this your pretty safe especially if your a technician.

Agreed.

“8 and skate, it can wait!”
D@mn straight!
8 and skate, it can wait!
First we need to reach a critical mass of employees shhting themselves in the office.

“Employees were abusing the liberties they were given.”
Then deal with those that were! Don’t punish everyone, including those that weren’t abusers, because of your weak leadership.
If you think stock price and RTO have any sort of overlap other than the drastically lower headcount as a result then you must be a real dummy. Or financially challenged. No in between.
Believe me, I’m experiencing this right now. Been here multiple years, always received Exemplary ratings each year, always worked later into the evenings to accommodate my peers across the globe…and now I’m not. For a global, multi-site company, the 8 hours workday does not work.
After driving an hour and a half each direction in the awful Dallas/Atlanta traffic, why should I? Especially when the Presence Report/management doesn’t care about supporting your team after hours. Those problems are now regulated to the 8 hours in office the next day. If those next day 8 hours are too busy with other work, the problem is this pushed to the following day. And so on.
RTO leads to attrition and that is exactly what they want.
No reason? This post couldn't be more obtuse. Employees were abusing the liberties they were given. As a whole productivitiy and accountability was significantly down. We had buildings throught out the country mostly empty. Look at the stock price since RTO kicked in. In John We Trust.
You are in a different station of life and need to go.
Says Gen X and purple hairs that want to stay home and be with their emotional support dogs all day.
Prior to RTO, i did my pre-work prep “things” and then logged in between 7:30-8:00 AM to start the day all refreshed and ready to go. In complete honesty, here is my RTO schedule:
- Leave house for the 1:10 hour drive. Relaxing to music and news.
- Arrive and set up laptop and log in.
- 40 minutes of combined po-p time, coffee clutch time, news, and personal emails to relax from the drive in.
- Work emails and MS Teams
- Start work in earnest after 1.5 hours on the clock.
When WFH all of this was on my time, prior to 8 AM. I would log off at 5 or 6 PM depending on the real collaboration going on that day because there was no hurry to get ahead of the reverse commute.
Enjoy the extreme contrast in productivity. Multiply this by thousands of employees.
"Just making people miserable for no reason"
Actually, they are making people miserable for a reason. They want you to quit so they don't have to pay you to leave. They are sc-m of the earth.
What could I possibly do with 2-3 extra hours a day not sitting in traffic?
The next layoff round is in June. Let your manager know you want to be at home.
Let’s talk about this in the office this morning, See you there.
You are in a different station of life and need to go.
You must be new here
The beatings will continue until morale improves.
