Relocation/layoff timeline

I just got a meeting invite I suspect is the long awaited Relocation offer.

How long do you have after you decline relocation before you are laid off. Are you given notice right away or do they keep you hanging for one of the upcoming Infamous Tuesdays?

My relocation talk with my skip level manager was not very formal. He asked if I would be willing to relocate as part of planning for location strategy and I told him I couldn't move due to a divorce and that I would be sued and/or lose my kids if I tried to move. I was laid off about 6 months later.

The timeline is very simple. They relocate you. Then, they lay you off.

Learned about mine. So many who can't (for legitimate reasons) go anywhere. Stay and likely many will be gone, how great is that going to be when management have no plan, no management, just 'isn't AI cool?'

Thanks! I am about 85% sure I will not accept any relocation.

I'm expecting my invite ( I was told I should be expecting it) but nothing yet.

Deadline is June for your response. Most likely August is the actual displacement. On a Tuesday of course. After a pay day of course.

Depends on LOB. May not get an offer. Don’t assume anything

Decision is usually needed in 30-60 days. If you choose relocation, then you have a year to move
