Thread regarding UnitedHealth Group Inc. layoffs

Micromanaging

So now that we are over the VRSP and the ones who chose to stick around are pretty much being so micromanaged now it’s not even funny. Oh you can’t do this because you are not meeting a metric..um that metric has a percentage I need to meet I am meeting it. But yea you aren’t meeting the number of said metric to meet that percentage even though you are meeting the metric. GTFOH!

Think now that the bbb passed it will get worse they will really try and thin the group down what do you think?

They are going to start monitoring keystrokes for everyone. A manager told me that.

So glad I did the vrsp buyout I just don’t trust the company and I thought layoffs would be coming for those that didn’t accept it especially after my team was excluded from a town hall which has never happened before. Prayers for all who got laid off. The new CEO is nothing but a yahoo cheesehead and i don’t trust him

Why I took VRSP too. Wouldn't be surprised if they switch your role on you too and you basically have to accept it. Also good luck applying within the company. I happened to find out nearly 100 people applied to my grade 26 vacancy

Been a top performer on my team for years. Not even a week after VRSP term date and I am being pulled for not meeting a metric that I haven’t missed in months. It’s honestly crazy stuff. I can tell you I’ll end up being a silent quitter for sure after 10 years which is truly a shame but this company has really gone to the porta potty!

This is exactly why I took the VSRP. I knew that they would make it he-l for the ones who chose to stay.

That was the whole idea to try and make people quit to save them having to pay out severance. I am thinking for the ones laid off it was a blessing in disguise.

The writing has been on the wall. M&R Group Advocates are now doing everything. They have dumped Dental calls, Behavioral calls, Renew Rewards calls, OTC and now we are getting Web Tech calls. Constant push to digital and members have a question we handle it or they are forced to “chat” with Web tech which stresses them out.
Yeah I can handle the extra work BUT then you are told no raise and now they have made bonus numbers impossible to meet.
Members calling in pi---d how their deductible and copays went up. We shouldn’t have to defend the company.
All the while the constant micromanaging with metrics .
It’s enough to literally make a good employee so burned out and crazy.
People can only take so much. I already see quiet quitting going on.

I heard it's pure he-l. Just do what you can because sooner or later they'll realize the expectations are unrealistic. The amount of work divided in one department alone after 75% of them gone is completely outrageous . Hang i. There until you find something else

Some of those same people that use that approach to "leadership" wouldn't dare share their historical metrics to show transparency into how meeting those numbers is done. I wouldn't sweat it— just start "quiet quitting" instead.
