I heard a lot of our senior citizen workers ie those over 50 will go first. Younger workers like myself are okay. The layoffs are targeted by age and seniority.
I heard the packages are actually quite good.
Are the other oil and gas companies planing layoffs ?

Holy sh-t! The rats survived as predicted. They let go the nice, professional and competent people. Laughable again. The more you accomplish the higher the liklihood they let you go. That way no one can threaten their leadership.
So this is going to be a monthly thing now - which departments are next! Lay off senior people who have done everything you’ve asked them to for ten plus years. Hire a bunch of ex BP id--ts so they can get the downstream in the bad position they were in when cenovus bought them. Makes sense. At least recruit from marathon or shell for the VPs and not BP

It has started at the upgrader. I've been at the upgrader for 16 years and got the boot this morning before our meetings. So disappointed and lost. I contributed so much to that facility and they let me go just like that!..
