Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Elliot is THE man!

How could anyone not like him? He’s down-to-earth, personable, relatable, and genuinely takes the time to get to know people. He comes across as someone who truly cares—and he clearly bleeds Nike.

We all know it’s a tough time and that things will continue to be challenging for a while. That’s why it’s reassuring to have someone like him leading the company.

EH’s problem is that to ensure stability he needs to make internal leadership promotions. But those people are the senior leader survivors from all the previous layoffs, which means they are definitely not the right people.

Not really about the “nice” man. He is a very nice person for sure. However it is about the role he plays, why he was brought back and how he executes to get Nike back to a sustainable profitable company which the share price reflects accordingly. So far well past 100 days to use a cliché he is not delivering expected outcomes in the least. Will this latest reorg change that? Hmmmmm I think not but we can all hope …. Again now time will go on to the year end and we shall see.

Do you agree that a heart surgeon does a far more important job than Nike? Because heart surgeon saves lives but no one has ever died not having Nike shoes... OK agreed? Good... have you ever heard anyone says Dr X-x bleeds OHSA? Lol ! No.... so yeah please end acting like a cult....

I couldn't have said it better! He truly is an impressive leader. Elliot visited the Employee Store with his team several weeks ago. I've worked at the Employee Store for ten years, and no other CEO has ever come into shop. He was so down to earth, even taking the time to talk to another Nike employee's kid who recognized him. Now he stops by occasionally to check in. It's refreshing!
