Thread regarding Ford layoffs

How do you feel about going to work each day?

Are you happy or miserable? Judging by comments here, there's no middle ground between the two.

@am+1jtnqt7pp "I heard a whole group at this company took the radds-r test for autism and they all had it"

Actually, that would a good thing... for engineers.

OP - Can you read? Obviously you haven't been here long. No one cares.

I’m neutral, but it’s cause I have clinical depression lol. On a serious note, my team is chill, outside of that it isn’t. My drive is okay, but I like cars and driving.

I often get a really high score on that, but the test isn’t accurate enough. There are so many questions on there that aren’t answerable, asks are you comfortable doing something, then your answer might be, “yeah with a total of 2 people, no one else”, but I’ve been told the line of thought process to answer each is the indication of autism. Could be, could not be. Though, when I was in college, it was difficult to find EE’s who weren’t neurodivergent, so just a pattern I recognized.

@ba+1jtnqt7pp - LOL. Are you rubbing shoulders with DF?

@ba+1jtnqt7pp Be careful, i was working directly on testing vehicle software, It was rewarding and I was finding plenty of bugs to resolve. I got layed off for “not coding” enough (reason given), but in reality, I was over 50 and paid well.

Joining Model e in California has been the best career move I’ve made since transitioning from tech. The work is dynamic and hands-on, offering real challenges beyond just sitting and coding all day — and the opportunity to work directly with the vehicle makes it all the more rewarding.

I can’t name any Ford executives that have any good track records.

I like how DF and SO are in these forums posting about how they feel like they get recognition.

I work in Model e and couldn't be happier with my career. Challenging work, always busy, and lots of visibility and plenty recognition from the leadership. You cannot beat the feeling of knowing you are contributing to the most important work in the company and are forming its future. It is too bad all areas of Ford are not like this

It’s hard to steer the titanic called ford.

The leaders need a good track record to gain respect from others.

That is lacking at ford, no one wants to admit they are human or in other words make mistakes.

So it’s cover your a-s from top down and back up again

What is the first thing Milollie stated to managers???? I want to hear what is wrong and how to fix it no hiding under rocks

Can’t wait for everyone to have to go into the office five days a week! It’s going to be amazing! 👍

Ford is only productive with an average RAADS score over 100. All these outside hires are low scoring sociopaths dragging our productivity down.

Going to work feels like choosing the middle seat on Spirit Airlines—except it’s daily, and no one offers peanuts.

This site is going to be extremely biased towards miserable people, you won't get the answer you're looking for.
