Location Strategy - Notice Period duration?

For those who have been laid off due to location strategy, how long was your non-working "Notice Period"?

The benefits guide doesn't clearly define the notice period. I've been at the bank only a few years and get the minimum of severance. They notified me a few weeks ago I need to report to my new location or opt to be laid off.

They always make it at least 60 days that way they don't have to file the WARN notice until after they tell you. They file the WARN the same day they notify everyone.

My 60-day non-working notice was given to me 60 days after I declined the relocation offer. The timeframe between the relocation denial and actual notice isn't the same for everyone. Some of my coworkers were given the 60-day notice the next day after they declined.

If you received a formal relocation notice, you would also have been given a time by which you must respond on whether you will or won’t relocate.

If you say no, then the formal notice of displacement generally comes within the next 30 days

When notified of displacement you have either 60 or 90 days of notice, depending on what state you live in. The split between working and nonworking is up to the business unit.
