Long story short, a family member of mine was the victim of a malicious cyberattack, which sought to discredit her and cause her reputational harm.
I tracked the IP back to Exxon's Houston campus. I've tried multiple avenues of contact, but keep getting the customer service runaround. Most recently, I was given an "IT support line" that automatically declines my calls.
I do not think that the cyberattack originated from Exxon necessarily, but I am hoping to at least bring the disturbing contents of the attack to the right people's attention.
Whether this was done via an off-campus machine connected through Exxon's VPN or it was done straight from the campus itself -- I'd still like to inform the correct people so that the offender can be identified (and hopefully reprimanded).
Apologies for using this forum, but I have very few other ideas on how to get in touch with the right people.
